How do I feel about Pattinson?
I have to say that I enjoyed the Twilight movie, and I’ll most likely go and see New Moon once it’s released. I love vampires, vampires are awesome – what could be cooler? And yes, Robert Pattinson is undeniably gorgeous, there is no doubting that.

But what I don’t like is how it’s affecting him. He was basically thrown in the deep end really, wasn’t he? You have to feel for the guy.
Robert Pattinson is supposed to appear somewhere on New Zealand shores to film a movie unrelated to Twilight, and I can already see it – thousands of fans flocking at the airport, I doubt the poor man will even have space to BREATH!

Being a fan of the Twilight saga, and thinking the Pattinson is a bit alright, got me a little excited about him travelling to New Zealand - until I took a step back and thought, wow… poor guy… I think I’ll just leave him alone. It is obvious that he is finding it a little difficult adjusting to fame, adjusting to the hawk-like media following his every move, and adjusting to the screaming fans behind every corner and inside every alleyway. But it’s almost as if these girls (and some boys) don’t realise that Robert is actually human, too!!!

I think it’s about time that everyone gives him a break, or else all they will be doing is driving him to complete insanity. Crazy R-Patz… I can see it all over the magazines already. Personal life is personal life, isn’t that why it’s called personal? I’m sure if he really wanted the world to know he was dating so-and-so and he’d eaten food at so-and-so’s expensive French restaurant, he might start his own little blog and post it for the world to see. Or even a Twitter page, because that seems like the thing every celebrity is doing these days. If he really wanted the world to know all about what he does on a Sunday afternoon I’m sure he’d make a point 0f sharing it with us. But has he? No.

So I vow that I’m not going to buy a gossip magazine with saucy pictures of Robert Pattinson on it, and I’m not going to read all of the media’s rubbish. I might ditch gossip magazines full-stop. Because all the media is doing is driving celebrities to the looney bin. Rehab, anyone?

I say, give the guy a break! Celebrities should not have to deal with the pressures of fame like they do today. Who cares if they want a double cheeseburger from Burger King? Who cares if they order a massive cup of coffee from Starbucks every one in a while?

It’s their life, not ours – so it’s about time we kept our noses in our own backyards!!!

Michael Jackson is a legend, he was a legend and he will continue to be a legend for as long as his memory lives on.
The movie reflects the true Michael Jackson, not the one that you see on television or in the magazines, it shows his true colours. Michael was a completely different man to how the media portrayed him, he was shy, he was sweet and sincere, he was courageous, brave, strong and loving. One thing I noticed is that even though he was a true perfectionist – no doubt about it – he never got angry. As some pop stars would get angry and beat their chests if things weren’t going the way they wanted, Michael would suggest how it could be done better, and he never demanded. I found this really touching, and it was a side to Michael that not a long of people get a chance to see.

Another thing that was clear in the movie is how fragile Michael appeared. As he danced, he looked as if he was about to break. He also looked extremely thin, and his face was drawn. It really upsets me how much he was pushed into doing 50 concerts – when it was obvious that 50 was not the amount he had first anticipated. They worked him to the bone, literally, so it is no wonder why he was looking so sickly. Also, his age is a factor and he was definitely not the spring chicken he once was!

I thoroughly enjoyed watching “This Is It” and I recommend it to any Michael Jackson admirer, as I feel it really gives you a ‘inside view’ of Michael, and who he was as a performer. It shows the depth to Michael’s character, and shows how many emotions the man has – there were some points where I expected him to start crying, he was such an emotional and sweet man. This is obvious when watching this movie.

Michael Jackson, you truely are, and always will be, the King of Pop.
There will never be another Michael Jackson, not ever.

• There are so many from the Japan trip in 2008, so it’s difficult to find just a couple! How about when he put on Minnie Mouse ears in the middle of the train station, or tried on D’s awesome furry white hat? You’ve always been a man of many laughs! And the looks our group got…
• I remember getting called to your office with a couple of other students, and once we arrived you asked us to be seated, then asked us if we had any idea why we were here, I innocently asked “What have I done…” and you turned around to me and asked “Have you done something I should be aware of?” You always have had a knack for turning something around and getting me to talk – I’ve always been shy, but you taught me that it’s actually not that scary speaking for yourself!
• Being in your group during the Japan trip 2008 lead to a lot of fun times – the wooden spoon for people who did stupid things – I never got it, thankfully but I do recall you nominating yourself for it, I think it was because it didn’t seem fair for M. to get it every single day! Your team spirit always shines through!

There are just some of the few things I will never forget about Mr D., you have been an absolutely amazing principal over my years at Ellesmere College and you’re going to be sorely missed! But I’ll do as you always taught, look on the bright side, aim for my best, and give everything a go – and most importantly, never be afraid to ask for help or ask questions!

On a side note, Mum and Dad Skyped us last night to say hello! They’ve finally met up in London, after Mum’s flight being delayed in Hong Kong for 3 hours!!! So she was absolutely exhausted to say the least! No idea what they’ve been up to today but I expect they’re fast asleep about now. It’s so cool that we can talk to them and see them on Skype – thank God for the internet! Where would we be without it?

I was browsing the internet last night and happened to check out YouTube – I am definitely addicted to YouTube! It’s just amazing, and it’s a great sidetrack for Mr. S in History class! But I heard he got told off for using it so much, so we barely watch it anymore! I do recall however, at the end of a History lesson we ended up watching amazing Domino movies! The ones where they set up MILLIONS of domino pieces and make awesome pictures, then they set them off and it’s really cool to watch. How does this relate to History? Well, we were studying the ‘Domino Theory’ and  the threat of communism spreading throughout Asia and I suppose that’s how it relates – totally off topic, I know! But it was a Friday afternoon and it was last period!

So I came across this video which I think is important to share, as it really opened up my eyes and definitely brought on a couple of tears so here it is:

I think this is the sort of video everyone needs to watch at least once, so they can understand the effects and the risks that you take by having unprotected sex. I am not forcing anybody to watch this video, but I recommend that you do.

Today was as eventful as any other day, as we begin the big count down for exams – 16 days to go! -groan-
The only exam that I am a little worried about is History, mainly because I dates seem to go in one ear and out the other. Although I do seem to have a knack at remember dates from ‘origins of world war 2′ – no idea why, other than it really interests me – unlike all of the stuff we have to do relating to New Zealand. But I suppose that learning about the country I’m from is important, I spend most of my time off in a daze, trying to pick Adolf Hitler’s brain, pondering on the thoughts of Georges Clemenceau, or prehaps Woodrow Wilson’s 14 points? What I’d really like to know is why it fascinates me so much? None of the family I know of even went to war, although I do remember my Grandmother once mentioning something about us having a connection to the Jewish people – she couldn’t really say too much more, I think the age is getting to her!

I’m currently hooked on Paramore’s new album titled ‘Brand New Eyes’. It’s amazing! I’d have to say, to be quite honest, that it is the best album I’ve purchased all year! So I’m very pleased that my $21.99 went towards something well worth while. On the topic of music, I’ve finally completed my second composition for my music internal – phew, thank God that’s off my chest! I titled it 滝 (The Waterfall), which I find to be quite fitting. The notes sound like little drops of water falling from a waterfall. I titled it in Japanese, to be a little different I suppose. But it is fitting, and I can’t wait to record it next week, along with my other composition titled ‘Dancing with Elves’ which sounds rather magical and is going to be preformed with S. on the flute and M. on guitar! Can’t wait to hear them both come together and get myself another 6 credits!

Michael Jackson’s ‘This Is It’ movie in ONE WEEK!!! I honestly cannot wait! It’s gonna be awesome!!!
